In the coming weeks, the Municipal Center for Energy Efficiency will open its doors in the Gabrovo Municipality building and will be the first information point in our country, where citizens and businesses can receive information and advice on energy renovation of their buildings.

The aim of the municipal energy center is to serve as a resource hub for energy consultations, where citizens can receive information about current programmes and special services available to improve the energy efficiency and RES of buildings. The center will have a separate advisory board with representatives of the local professional and scientific community, supported by EnEffect.

The initiative will directly contribute to the implementation of the municipal commitments to achieving global, national and regional goals, including "Taking urgent action to mitigate climate change and its consequences", "Ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all', as well as tackling the energy poverty. The initiative is implemented by the Municipality of Gabrovo, OMEE EcoEnergy, the Center for Energy Efficiency EnEffect and Technical University - Gabrovo with the support of the re-MODULEES project under the Horizon 2020 program.

The consultation from the center experts will be available on site and through an online platform, where all interested parties will be able to obtain information about financial products and tools in the field of energy efficiency, the opportunities offered by professional home managers, the conditions for reparing technical passports and energy audits of buildings, as well as expert assessment on specific cases. 

On February 15, 2022, training for municipal employees will be held in preparation for the work of the center.
